Overview

ClackPrep (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates clackprep.com and eiat.clackprep.com (the “Services”). This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. We do not sell your personal information.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. This is handled through Clerk, our authentication provider.

Payment information

When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details (card number, billing address) are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. We retain billing history, subscription status, and Stripe customer identifiers.

Usage and performance data

When you use the practice platform, we store your quiz sessions, section scores, best scores per section, and time spent studying. This data powers your progress dashboard and personalized study recommendations.

Email notifications

If you submit your email on our marketing site to be notified of new course launches, we store that email address for that purpose only.

Contact form submissions

If you contact us via the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.

Analytics and site usage

We collect anonymized analytics data (page views, session duration, feature usage) to understand how the platform is used and to improve it. This is handled by PostHog. We also use Google Ads conversion tracking on our marketing site.

Who We Share Your Information With

We share your information only with the third-party service providers necessary to operate ClackPrep. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Clerk

— Authentication provider

Stores and manages your account credentials, email address, and identity.

Stripe

— Payment processor

Processes subscription payments and stores your billing information. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant.

Supabase

— Database and backend

Stores your quiz sessions, scores, and study progress data in an encrypted PostgreSQL database.

Vercel

— Hosting provider

Hosts the ClackPrep web application. Request logs may be retained for a limited period.

PostHog

— Product analytics

Collects anonymized usage data (page views, feature interactions) to help us improve the platform.

Google

— Advertising measurement

Conversion tracking on our marketing site to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.

We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ClackPrep, our users, or the public.

Method of Disclosure

Information is disclosed to the third parties listed above exclusively through secure, encrypted API integrations over HTTPS. We do not transmit personal information via email, file transfers, or any unencrypted channel. Each provider receives only the data necessary for the service they perform.

Security Practices

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.
Payment card data is never stored on ClackPrep servers — all payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.
Passwords and authentication tokens are managed by Clerk, which uses industry-standard hashing and security practices.
Our database (Supabase) stores data in encrypted PostgreSQL instances hosted in secure data centers.
Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.
We perform periodic reviews of our security practices and third-party provider security certifications.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we implement commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your account and study data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription or close your account, we may retain certain records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing history). You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at the address below.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@clackprep.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

ClackPrep is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
